This isn’t the White Lotus

But it will change your life.

Detouring has become my religion.

Why?

Because Detours shift perspective.

They push us, just past the edge of our comfort zones, and hold the space for us to connect with ourselves and those that matter to us in meaningful ways.

They force us to look towards the horizon and pay attention to moments that do something to our hearts. And herein lies the beauty of Detours — they willingly force us to catch a glimpse of something unexpected beyond our wildest imagination.

And what we find at the end:

Our strength, empathy, and wisdom.

Breast cancer. Pandemic. Divorce. The past few years have been a real doozie of Detours. But now I choose to actively Detour. Detours have shown me how strong and resilient I am. And my recent life’s Detours have grounded me in a sense of self I haven’t felt since I Dared a much younger version of myself to move to New York City after graduating college.

My story lies in the way I face my fears, how I Dare myself to move through challenges, and how Detours have shaped my life. Empowering and supporting women to step outside their comfort zones and to reconnect to themselves in meaningful ways. These shared experiences — Detours — have become my focus in this new chapter of life.

This isn't the White Lotus. My Dare retreats are about getting out, connecting with communities, and having conversations. They are about having a culturally different experience that pushes you out of your comfort zone. My intention with every retreat is to provide women with safe opportunities to step off the beaten path.

Please create your own DIY Detour. Or join me for Dare Retreat and discover the possibilities that await! But most importantly, Detour to rediscover your own spirit of adventure, cultivate creativity and joy, and feel supported by a community of women.
